Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Designer / Software Architect, you'll be responsible for defining and safeguarding the software architecture of complex high-tech systems.

Define and own the software architecture for advanced semiconductor equipment.

Lead the design of machine control software using Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 and/or Siemens PLC.

Define the architecture of higher-level software components using C++ and/or C#.

Translate customer and system requirements into scalable, maintainable, and future-proof software architectures.

Make architectural decisions across PLC, machine control, and higher-level software.

Act as the technical authority within multidisciplinary project teams.

Coach and mentor Software Designers and Software Engineers, supporting their technical growth.

Drive software quality through design reviews, code reviews, and engineering best practices.

Support complex integration, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.

Collaborate closely with System Architects, Project Managers, Electronics Engineers, and Mechanical Engineers to ensure successful project delivery.

Identify technical risks early and define effective mitigation strategies.

Contribute to technology roadmaps, innovation initiatives, and continuous improvement within the engineering organization.

Your Profile

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

8-15+ years of experience in high-tech machine building, industrial automation, or software engineering.

Extensive experience with Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 and/or Siemens PLC.

Extensive experience developing software in C++ and/or C#.

Proven experience defining software architectures for complex machines or industrial systems.

Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design, software architecture principles, and design patterns.

Experience translating customer and system requirements into scalable software architectures.

Experience leading technical decisions and coaching software teams.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Familiar with Git, Azure DevOps, or similar version control systems.
