For the Software Architect we are looking for someone with at least 10 years of experience in high complex machine control, real time software, operating systems and GUI, preferrably in the semiconductor industry.

Activities
In this role you will be defining the technical software roadmap in conjuction with the overall product and system road maps. You are responsible for the definition and deployment of the architecture through the full software life cycle for complex mechatronic systems for metrology applications.  

The architecture and its code base is the foundation to delevering in a reliable way for multiple systems and multiple users. You work in close collaboration with architects and engineers from other disciplines and partners and suppliers in a multidisciplinairy team. You enjoy exploring new tools and techniques to improve the way of working. 

Responsibilities

  • Defining an architecture and delivering according to that architecture
  • Coaching and guiding software teams on a technical level
  • This role includes traveling 25% of the total time
  • You report to the Chief Technical Officer

Qualification and Experience

  • A Master in Informatics or Technically oriented with 15 years experience in a equivalent role
  • Proven experience with high tech complex machine control and RT software and Operating Systems
  • Experience with module software interfaces and various configurable data acquisition and logging, retrieval and transmission modes
  • Experience with application layers, e.g. communication through the HAL layer, system application software, performance and diagnostic software, data acquisition and logging, simulation modes (for subsystem calibration and testing) 
  • Experience with fab automation system, SECS/GEM interface handling
  • Experience with SEMI standards
  • Experience with coaching and guiding software teams on a technical level
  • Experience with defining an architecture and delivering according to that architecture 
  • Experience with agile software development
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Configuration Management processes
  • Direct experience in delivering systems and products to customers
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinairy engineering environment, with suppliers and co-developers
  • The willingness to own the integrated system performance, and support the entire product life-cycle (Development through sustaining engineering)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

Terms of condition

  • Salary range from €5000 – €8500, a month based on experience
  • Permanent position
  • 8% holiday allowance
  • 30 holidays 
  • Travel allowance
  • Flexible work hours
  • Optional: Working from home (1 day per week, upon request)
