Introduction
Do you want to push the boundaries of flow & thermal performance in cutting-edge high-tech systems? As a Mechanical Architect Flow & Thermal, you play a key role in designing and optimizing complex equipment within industries such as semiconductors, medical devices, and advanced instrumentation. You work in multidisciplinary teams on innovations like lithography machines, electron microscopes, and automated medical systems. Your expertise ensures that performance, reliability, and efficiency come together in world-class solutions.

Your responsibilities
You are responsible for defining and realizing the flow & thermal architecture within complex high-tech systems.

• Translate customer requirements into F&T specifications, system architectures, and conceptual designs
• Define budgets, performance targets, and integration strategies within projects
• Set up and execute modeling and analysis strategies and translate results into system performance
• Specify test and integration requirements to complete the V-model development cycle
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and safeguard product quality
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and guide engineers in technical decision-making
• Manage stakeholders and align with architects, project managers, and clients
• Drive innovation by introducing new technologies and advanced solutions

Your profile

• MSc or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, or similar
• At least 10 years of experience in flow & thermal within high-tech systems or equipment design
• Strong ability to operate across different abstraction levels, from detailed analysis to system architecture
• Broad multidisciplinary mindset and strong system-level understanding
• Excellent analytical and modeling skills
• Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders

Nice to have:

• Experience with defining and selecting standard flow & thermal components

Offer

• Salary between €6,500 and €9,000 gross per month
• Up to €130,000 gross per year depending on experience
• 28 vacation days with the option to purchase up to 12 additional days
