Introduction
Do you want to work as a Mechanical Architect on some of the most advanced high-tech systems in the world? In this role, you design mechanical architectures for complex equipment within industries such as semiconductors, medical devices, and high-tech machinery. You will collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to develop cutting-edge solutions like lithography systems, electron microscopes, and automated medical analysis equipment. Your expertise ensures that innovative ideas are successfully translated into real-world applications.

Your responsibilities
You are responsible for defining and realizing the mechanical architecture within complex high-tech projects.

• Translate customer needs into technical specifications, concepts, and system architectures
• Define mechanical designs, subsystems, and project budgets
• Specify test and integration requirements within the V-model development cycle
• Lead and coach engineers and designers in multidisciplinary teams
• Collaborate with stakeholders such as project managers, architects, and clients
• Drive innovation by introducing new technologies and solutions
• Build and maintain strong internal and external networks

Your profile

• MSc or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar
• 10–15 years of experience in mechatronic and precision system design
• Proven experience with high-tech equipment or complex systems
• Strong analytical skills and experience with advanced analysis methods
• Broad multidisciplinary mindset with strong system-level understanding
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience

Nice to have:

• Experience with Design for Excellence (DfX) and technical leadership roles

• Salary between €6,000 and €8,500 gross per month
